September is birthday month. First is my Grandma Murray's and Amberlee's. Both on the 13th. Amberlee and Heath were in Disneyland on that day but the rest of us headed over to Kolob for my Grandma Murray's 87th Birthday Party.
Isn't my Grandma the cutest! She just wanted a talent show and cookies and punch for her birthday. My mom and Laura played some fiddle music, Trevin and Laura played the piano, and Libby sang, "Let It Go" or "The Snow Glows White" as Libby calls it.
When Heath and Amberlee got back from Disneyland they came to my parents house with this cute cake. Since it was my birthday that day I cut it open and the inside was pink. We got the hint. They are going to have a baby girl in February!
It's also Dustin's birthday in September too. We spent the night in St. George and saw Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat. It was super fun but in keeping with my style I took no pictures.
For UEA in October we had the best time! We took Laura with us to the cabin for the weekend. We went for a lot of 4-wheeler rides, ate hobo diners and chicken legs for Laura, played so much hide and seek and monopoly, and told ghost stories.
We came home for church on Sunday and then on Monday we headed for St. George to enjoy the last few days of warm weather. We ate pizza, swam, swam, and did more swimming. It was so fun. This pictures is of us waiting to check in, we were so excited.
Also in October was my Grandma Murray's little brother Raymond's 80th Birthday.
And of course you have to carve pumpkins in October! Mine and Dustin's pumpkin was a collaboration. Dustin googled cool jack-o-lanterns, I drew the "flame face", and Dustin did the intricate carving.
It was awesome.
Trevin did all of his by himself. He is such a grown up.
Mckay enjoyed eating cookies and watching the carving.
Libby was the official "gutter". She thought it was so gross but she couldn't stop herself from pulling out all of the guts.
Laura and my mom worked together on the traditional kitty-cat pumpkin.
The whole lot.
We were so surprised to turn on the radio on Halloween afternoon to hear my dad on the radio. He has his own show every 1st and 3rd Friday called Auto Vitals with Midtown Tire and Auto on KSUB AM 590. The show is about all things cars. You should listen. It's so good!
We can't forget Halloween!
Coronation Elsa
Peyton Manning
and baby in a cape. It was the only thing he would leave on, and it didn't last very long.
The candy haul.
This is the coolest picture of Laura in our first (and maybe only?) snow storm of the winter.
I was a super bad mom and never enrolled Libby in pre-school. So we have been doing a little home-school pre-school. And when I say a little I mean only a little. She is very stubborn. She's not too excited about learning but she is slowly warming up to it.
This little guy is just as stubborn as his sister. He won't let anyone feed him. He thinks he can do it himself. Well he can't. Poor kid. Hopefully he'll pick it up quick, before he starves to death!
Apparently no one in my family took any pictures of Thanksgiving. We went over to Summit to have Thanksgiving with my Aunt Kathy and her husband Fred. Our neighbors the Segos came too. We had such a good time! We had a great diner, talent show, fry'em tournament and Bunco game. My Aunt Kathy and Fred are the best hosts!
The day after Thanksgiving is the annual Cedar High Men's Alumni Basketball Tournament. Dustin's team won the whole thing. It was so fun to watch. They had to play four games in one night but those old guys were tough and barely squeaked out a win in the final game. Ha ha, they were great!
