The Fourth

For the Fourth of July this year we spent the night before at the cabin with Dustin's family and then headed over to my parent's favorite place at the Red Desert to have a "cook out" with my family including two of my cousins and their kids. I had so many pictures from the last time that we were there that I didn't take any this time. But we did take a few at the Zion overlook where we stopped to call my parents and see if they were on their way.
.

Isn't it an amazing view? You can see all the way into Zion.
.
After the "cook out" we came home, had baths, and then played games at my parents house until it was time for the fire works. We had a lot of fun playing with my cousin Lisa and her kids that we don't get to see very often. Laura and Livvy were inseparable and Drea and Adrian kept saying the funniest things.

They set the fireworks off from the runway at the airport and my dad knows the code to get into the FedEx hanger at the airport so we had a perfect seat. From our seat we had a great view of both the Cedar fireworks and the Enoch Fireworks, plus there was an awesome lightening show between them. It was pretty awesome. When we got to the Airport Drea asked us where the fireworks were so we could start lighting them. My mom said that we didn't bring any, that we were just going to watch the big ones. Drea looked so sad and said, "Well, I'm just disappointed." He wasn't afraid to speak his mind, which was great for me because for one of my classes I had to write a paper on my observations of an eight-year old. Dang is that paper going to be good. Thanks Drea!
