The first half of 2017

January
What's winter without sledding on the CAL Ranch Hill?
We thought we could avoid the crowds by hiking in Zion in January. WRONG! There are always people in Zion.
Apparently it was boring before we even got there. How did we jam ourselves in this tiny car?!

February - Libby's Birthday
Libby turned seven and hosted her first ever friend birthday party. She had three cute friends over for a mermaid themed tea party and then we spent the evening at the Aquatic Center.

March
Pinewood Derby

I can never get over March weather. One day we are making fairy gardens and sand castles...

cleaning out the pond...
rescuing lizards from drowning in the pond...
and then literally the next day looks like this!

April
Mckay built the "Ba-chine." Said like machine but with a "B"

We did our first big vacation with just our family, no grandparents, aunts, uncles or cousins. We spent spring break in DISNEYLAND!
Lib was pretty excited when Minnie Mouse came to meet her. Mckay got a little confused when I told him to "give her a hug". He hugged Libby.
 Pirates
 Tarzan's Treehouse
 Moana
 Goofey's Roller Coaster
We did Monday in Disneyland. On Tuesday we swam at the hotel pool and saw the Jazz and Clippers playoff game in LA that night.
It was our first time going to an away game and our first time going to a playoff game.
Wednesday was for California Adventure. We love the Bug's Life Movie and are sad it's gone!

We waited forever to see Sofia. We were third in line, but when she came out Libby was so excited she ran ahead and gave her a big hug. Mckay was a little more timid.
A lot of silly behavior happens when you have to wait in line with Libby.

Libby had to wear my jacket has a dress after her jeans were completely soaked on the river rafting ride. That bumped the silly behavior up a notch
While Dustin and the big kids went on the scary rides Mckay and I hit up all of the little rides and the rides that spin (Dustin can't handle them).
We took this picture on the way home. Yes, we drove our tiny Honda Civic all the way to California with three kids in the backseat. After this trip we decided we needed a bigger car.

Mckay's Fourth Birthday!

May
First ever South Elementary Color Run was a blast!
A small selection of the PTA crew
 Libby's first Suzuki Concert
 Trevin's Fourth Grade Utah program
A big squirrel lived in our yard for a year. He loved the rock walls!
Libby wrote these very nice notes to me on Mother's Day
You're mean Mom                               I love Dad. Not you.
You're mean Mom!                                         Die now.
Libby's First Grade program.
Little League is dangerous. Trevin took a baseball to the chest. It left a mark from the stitches!
